Cardiac rehabilitation accreditationthe cardiac rehabilitation program at thibodaux regional was reaccredited during fy 2023 by the american association of cardiovascular and pulmonary rehabilitation (aacvpr) recognizing that our program meets the highest standards of care. the aacvpr program certification is awarded for a period of three years.diabetes self-management accreditationduring fy 2023, the american diabetes association (ada) recognized the diabetes self-management program at thibodaux regional, awarding continued recognition status for the four year period ending 2027. the program was first recognized in 1999 by the ada as a quality program meeting all standards of the ada in providing education services to the patients. assuring high-quality education for patient self-care is a primary goal of the education recognition program.echocardiogram accreditationthibodaux regional is one of three accredited adult transthoracic and adult transesophageal echocardiography programs in louisiana. during fy 2024, our program was reaccredited by the intersocietal accreditation commission (iac) for a three year cycle ending in 2027.sleep center accreditationamerican association of sleep medicine accreditation for sleep medicine facilities is the gold standard by which the medical community and the public can evaluate sleep medicine services. it demonstrates sleep center's commitment to high quality, patient-centered care through adherence to the aasm standards for accreditation. the aasm accreditation is voluntary and exhibits the facility's dedication to the practice of sleep medicine. our program was reaccredited during fy 2023.american college of radiology accreditationthe american college of radiology (acr) awards accreditation to facilities for the achievement of high practice standards after a peer- review evaluation of its practice. image quality and procedure evaluations are conducted by board-certified radiologists and medical physicists who are experts in the field. the program also evaluates personnel qualifications, adequacy of facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs. thibodaux regional is accredited by acr in computed tomography, magnetic resonance imaging, mammography, nuclear medicine, positron emission tomography, and ultrasound.the radiation oncology services were awarded reaccreditation through the american college of radiology during fy 2024. the accreditation is a three year cycle. next accreditation is due in 2027. quality recognitionscms star ratingquality star rating from cms is comprised of 41 outcome, process and efficiency measures that shows hospital performance on average and compared to other hospitals. measures include 30-day mortality for ami, pn, chf, copd, cabg and stroke; hospital acquired infections (clabsi, cauti, ssi colon, ssi hysterectomy, c-diff and mrsa); total joint complications, ahrq patient safety indicators; 30-day readmission rates for ami, cabg, chf, pneumonia, copd, stroke, joint replacement and overall hospital; patient experience; core measures for both the inpatient and outpatient settings; and imaging efficiency measures. the star rating is on a 5 star scale with 5 being the best rating. during fy 2024, thibodaux regional was recognized by cms for our patient experience by being awarded a four-star rating and our overall rating of a three-star.carechexsince 2009, quantros has compiled the carechex ratings to provide an objective quality review of all hospitals and health systems in america, with ratings for safety and overall medical excellence at the national, state, and regional level. the carechex awards are based on a rigorous review of patient complications, readmissions, mortality, ahrq patient safety indicators, and inpatient quality indicators. their vast data sets don't include any self-reported or survey data, and the results are tested for statistical significance, resulting in clearer, more accurate performance differentiation a
