Primary health care's hiv program expanded in january 2013. it provides comprehensive primary medical, dental, mental health, and nurse care management services to patients with hiv disease. services also include testing, supportive services such as housing and case management, counseling, and referrals. these programs served hundreds of patients with hiv during the year, and thousand at risk for contracting the disease. funding comes from hrsa's rya white parts b and c, hud's hopwa program, the cdc, and iowa department of public health.
