Masters tournament charities, inc. will continue the primary mission started by masters tournament foundation, inc. to support the game of golf's continuous growth around the world, including through education and amateur golf competitions, and will also support and pursue broader charitable purposes including community development and supporting education, especially in economically disadvantaged populations in the augusta community and through needs based financial assistance for disaster relief, hardships, financial emergencies, as well as scholarships and fellowships for qualified individuals, including current and future augusta national employees and their families.
The patch project, llc (tpp) is wholly-owned by mtc and is established to strengthen the availability and quality of public golf in the community and foster even greater opportunities to play the game and work in the sport. through tpp llc, mtc plans to hire world-renowned golf architects and make substantial capital expenditures to renovate and redesign the augusta municipal golf course. another significant charitable and educational purpose of the patch project is to support the game of golf by enhancing the golf course management program of augusta tech. there were no expenses for tpp in 2024.
