The early learning coaliton of hillsborough county facilitates access to voluntary pre kindergarten (vpk) by administering and coordinating childcare grants for families to access high-quality early childhood educational programs, serving any child four years of age.
The school readiness match program provides funds to expand the provision of services to low-income families at or below 200% of the federal poverty level, as long as the income does not exceed 85% of the state median income. funding is subject to availability. local matching funds can be derived from government, employer charitable foundations, and other sources to expand funds for direct services and increase the number of childcare slots.
