Asante physician partners' second largest accomplishment for fiscal year 2024 was the operation of its primary care clinics. asante physician partner primary care clinics in jackson and josephine counties served 43,644 individuals with a total of 145,819 primary care visits in the fiscal year ending september 30, 2024. of those visits, 42,570 served medicare patients, 20,248 served medicaid patients and 3,461 served the uninsured, demonstrating the benefit to the underserved in the community with the patients served comprised of 25% medicare, 13% medicaid and 2% uninsured patients and the visits comprising 45% of all primary care visits.
Asante works continuously to improve availability and accessibility of health care services in our region, reduce costs and enhance the quality and continuity of health care services provided to patients. during fiscal year 2024, asante recruited 33 physicians and 29 advanced practic providers to asante to support this effort. to improve access and availability throughout the region, asante also evaluates and pursues strategic alliances with physicians and other providers including joint ventures, partnerships, service line agreements, physician service agreements, participation in asante health network and other strategic relationships. during fy24, asante supported community clinics in the recruitment of physicians and advanced practice providers.
